Here’s a little quickie about PME tips.
First a little background about me and PME tips. I’m a stubborn person. I learned to decorate cakes and cookies with Wilton and Ateco tips. They work fine. They cost about a dollar a piece, so I can buy lots and not sweat it too much when they get mangled in the garbage disposal. Which happens to me. A lot. So I kind of dug in my heels and refused to try the PMEs at almost $5 a pop.
Well, I started getting some requests to carry them in my store, and I have this thing about my store– “If I don’t love it, I won’t sell it”– Soooo… I had to give in and try them out. And the results? Awesome!! How did I live without them?? My favorite by far for outlining is the 1.5. I keep asking Mike to bring me some home when I’m decorating, but we’re always out of them!! 😀 I just can’t keep them in stock. So I currently have ONE that I wash out and use with all of my colors. Not even kidding.
So I had been meaning to write up a post extolling the virtues of PME tips when I got an email from one of our great customers, Kris. She did it just as well (or better!) than I could have, so I asked for her permission to share her great insights. So, from Kris about PME tips:
What a huge difference.. I am in love with them. I must order more very soon. I attached 2 photos of the comparisons of a PME 1.5 PME 2.0 and a Wilton 2.0 All with the same bag of icing withing 2 minutes of each other.. I am shocked at the difference. No wonder my writing always looked bad…. It was the tip all along. I have always had good penmanship except with frosting..I am in love with these new tips!
KrisHere is the piping still wet:
And dry:
A few days later, Kris sent me a follow-up email:
Just another note to say how much better the PME tips work than Wilton. I am so convinced! I have told everyone I know about them and I hope you continue to carry them. I am attaching a pic of a couple cookies to compare.
Wilton tip #2 vs. PME tip #2. It is like night and day!
The one on the left was Wilton #2, the one on the right is PME #2
Have you tried them yet? If you haven’t, here’s your chance. I’ll give one winner a set of every PME Supatube that we carry– 00, 0, 1, 1.5, 2, 2.5, and 3— so you can try them out for yourself. Just comment on this post by Midnight Wednesday, April 13 ,and I’ll choose a winner using Random.org. Good luck!
I have tried 1.5 and fell in love myself. I only have one and I wash and decorate over and over. I would love to own the whole set. Thanks Karen!!!
Who would have thought it’s all in the tip? After all these years I thought it was me!
Hi!
I need buy tips so i want to start decorating cookies as soon as I am settled in my new house.
Bye bye
Wow, what a difference! I’d love to try that out…
Thanks for sharing.
I’m like you Karen. I wanted to try them but didn’t want to pay the price for them. I would love a set of my own to play with!
I love your website & your blog. I think I am going to change my home page from Yahoo to KarensCookies.net since I seem to go there first everytime I log on! I also love getting my orders in the mail – all wrapped up in yellow tissue paper- always puts a smile on my face! I would love to receive all the PME tips – especially if they are wrapped up in the happy yellow tissue paper!
I’d love to try the PME Tips! The photographs show impressive results! (And I need all the help I can get!)
OMGosh! Winning these would be fabulous!
I’ve heard so much about them!
Thanks for the chance!
i have not tried anything other than wilton so im excited to have the opportunity!
I have never heard of PME before and would love to try them out! My handwriting stinks so any advantage a tip can give me, I’ll take!
So glad I read this before I bought any others, thanks for the “tip”! 😉
I’m glad you created this post! A lot of people wonder the difference in PME tips and your examples are a fantastic explanation! I love the 0 tip and have heard great things about the 1.5. I would love to try more sizes of PME’s!
I seriously never thought a tip would really make that much difference but after seeing what Kris did with her examples I am a believer and would love to try them out myself. I too have lost many a tip to the garbage disposal. Nothing makes me more sad =(. Thanks for sharing your opinion and hosting yet another giveaway.
I would love to try PME tips! I’ve only used Wilton and would love to experience the greatness!
Thanks for doing this giveaway!
These tips have been on my wish list for about a month! I would love to win these!!!
I’m going to have to buy a couple to see if it changes my writing! Then cry when the garbage disposal gets them.
Wow, what a dfference. I never knew the tip could make that much of a difference. I would love to have some to add to m growing supply of cookie decorating supplies, and I’ve only been decorating for a few months.
I have not tried any other brand….but this has definitely convinced me I need to try!
I would love to win. Great blog post!! Loved seeing the writing comparisons!
Wow! I am so happy to realize that my tip “mistakes” are not due to me but to have been using the wrong tip!!!! I hope I win some tips because I really need these!! 🙂
Wow – what a difference! I had never heard of PME either.
That is crazy the difference for something that is supposed to be standard!
WOW! I cannot believe what a huge difference the tips can make! I also have always just thought that Wilton was top of the line, but the photos you were given show that there are better! I would love to get a set of these!
Wow What a difference. I do just about anything not to have to write on cookies and such. Maybe with a set of these I would give it a try. Thanks for sharing. Rose
Wow-to think that I might be able to blame my sloppy writing on the bad tip! Definitely looking forward to trying these out.
I’ve heard what a difference PME tips made, but didn’t know what the difference was. Whether or not I win some throught this giveaway (thanks), I will be purchasing some now.
Oh I would love to win!! Can you imagine 7 PME tips all at once!
margaretcotrim@uol.com.br
I’m new to the PME tips as well. I heard about them from Sugarbelle and bought a couple from your store. Like you, I need more! Thanks for offering this great give-away! cristinsohm@aol.com
Wow! I have always used Wilton…this is impressive! I would love to try these tips out.
What an incredible difference! I’d love to give them a try; thanks for the generous giveaway!

Unbelievable difference in the tips. I would love to try them!
Shirley T.
I love PME tips!!! and my favourite one is 1.5, too, Karen 🙂
Hi…Like Karen I have been a Wilton tip user for same reasons…cost and mangling in the disposal! LOL! I am never satisfied with my writing on cakes or cookies and would like better control. It would be lovely to try the PME tips out! Luck O’ the Irish be with me…. :oD
Would LOVE to win! I’m still using Wilton tips I bought about 10 years ago – would love these!!!
quite a difference in quality
Well had to go purchase a couple to check out, but would love a whole set.
I have a couple PME and like them a lot. I need to get more…but am CHEAP! 🙂
Actually last night I was looking through your web as I wanted to try the ateco ones, ( I heard they are really good too) but I saw the couplers and not the tips though…. welll I might be the lucky one!!!lol. Thanks for sharing all these tips!! Bea
I have invested in a few PME tips and I can absolute tell the difference when using them, ahhhh to have a few more…. you know when I first started decorating cookies I used wilton #1’s and a paint brush to fill my cookies, ugh! well you live, learn and watch Karen’s videos! Thanks for all your inspiration and awesome tutorials!
okay – I’m still not a believer – been decorating for 38 years!! I hope I win these, so I can be proven wrong!! :0) (it’s almost like: if it seems too good to be true – it is!!!)
Wow, the difference is amazing. Can’t wait to try the PME!
thats an impressive different. i had no idea quality varied so much from brand to brand in tips.
Very cool!
That is unbelievable!!!! I too have been using wilton for 30 years and refused to pay that much for a tip.
My cakes and cookies look good till I write on them, I always
dread it.
I can’t wait to try these!
Cindy
Oh, I have never seen the PME tips, all we have are Wilton around here. Would love to try them!
LOOKS GREAT! WILL DEFINATELY BE ORDERING SOME!
OK… I want them! What a big difference between the tips…I’m sold…so if I don’t win them…you’ll be getting an order from me!
OMG what a difference! I have to try those asap!
kisses
What an amazing difference! Maybe *that’s* why my writing looks so bad on my cookies! I’ve been using a Wilton #2, and haven’t had good luck. Would love to win this set of tips!
Oh boy I would love to win this. As a baker this is one of my wishes…
Que padres estan, yo tambien usaba nada mas wilton espero poder probarlos
Oh I would so love to have a set of the PME’s. I have the 1.5 and love it!!
rightshoe_75482@yahoo.com
Oo Oo pick me, pick me!
Nice to see the comparison side-by-side!
Pick me! Pick me!!
Awesome comparison of the tips. Would love to try them for myself!
I would love a set of those tips. Fabulous!
Thanks for hosting this giveaway!
I can not believe the difference the tips make. I would surely like to try the new PME tips, maybe it will help my writing skills lol.
Wow…I must have those tips!
I would love to win the set of PME tips – I’ve been wanting to get them, but like you the price was an issue. I want to learn how to do bridgeless string work on my cakes and those tips are a must have.
I’ll keep my fingers crossed.
What a difference! I can’t wait to try these.
I think Pme is better than wilton too. So I like to take another ones of this, thanks a lot from Spain
Wow, I am learning something new everyday! I never even knew there were other options than Wilton. Thank you for educating me. Hope to win a set to try!!!
Incredible, can’t believe the difference!
Good side-by-side comparison. Pick me, PLEASE!!!
These looks awesome- count me in!
I have been wanting to try those tips. Thank you for the chance!!!
I just saw that you started carrying the 2.5 and 3 recently and I would love to win them! Either way, they’re going on my wishlist.
Wow- thanks for the info – I have never heard of these tips before – I only have the Wilton tips. Would love to try.
I just bought my first PME tip and I can’t wait to try it out.
I have never tried the PME. I’ve only used the Wilton. I’d LOVE to try the PME tips as the pictures showing the difference are AMAZING!
I have not tried this. If I win, I plan on giving them to a friend who desparately wants them 🙂
I am new to the cookie world, so I thought it was just me, the frosting or my bad penmanship that wording was such a problem for me… I have given up and started using Food writers for writing and other small details. I would LOVE a set of PME tips…thanks for giving us a chance to win!
Well seeing IS believing!!! I will definitely have to give these wonderful PME tips a try!! Thank you!
Hmmm never tried anything but Wilton because they are so cheap, they are almost disposable. Almost. I’m a hobby baker but it looks like these tips are something I may have to invest in.
I keep hearing how good these are and I just haven’t been able to justify the price tag… also my brain can’t understand how they can be any different… but the really must be! I am SOOO hoping I win so that I can try them out finally!
I’D LOVE TO TRY THE NEW TIPS! BTW… Do you ever have trouble w/ your colors bleeding into each other? Not sure what to do about it other than change my icing up somehow??
Love the mystery faces cookies. How fun! Hmmm now… I wonder what I can come up w/… ???
Amazing – I use glaze icing v royal — these are perfect. I don’t write on my cookies – even with Wilton #1,, i just can’t seem to get the writing small enough. Karen,, your web site is a real help to a beginner like me! THANK YOU!
I’d love to try the PME Tips! Thank you for the chance and for sharing!
I am fairly new to cookie decorating so I really had no idea that there was anything other than Wilton out there. I’ve never loved my writing with the Wilton tips and just chalked it up to my slightly shaky hands (which probably accounts for most of it!) but I would LOVE to have these PME tips! Thank you for the blog post. So informative!
I am so excited to try them. We do a lot of fine detail and writing and Wilton just doesn’t make the cut. I am hoping that these tips will allow me to really display the fine detail that we have always envisioned without all the frustation and killing our hands. Thanks Karen!!
I can’t believe the difference! I would have never known without the information I get from this awesome blog!
I haven’t tried them, but would love to win this giveaway.
Thanks for such great info on them.
Wow what a difference!
Wow and all this time I thought it was all my fault, cant wait to try them and if I win some even better thanks
I’m very interested in these! I don’t have any issues with Wilton tips, but it could be that I just don’t know what I’m missing! I’ve settled for what is readily available to me!
I’d love to win this set. I’m not great at using writing tips and am anxious to try these. Thanks for sharing!
Crossing my fingers!
I have gotten these from you, Karen…and I have to agreed whole-heartedly that the difference in the two is like night and day. The improvement in my writing on cookies is more than I could ask for. Thanks for carrying them….it’s worth the investment.
Blessings, Donna B.
I bought a couple of these from you. They are amazing. And they don’t rust like the Wilton tips!
Me encantaria ganar este estupendo juego de boquillas, que me irian estupendamente para decorar galletas.
Besos
I’d love to try them!!
I love all of your posts!
Wow, I’d love to win this set. What a difference! Thanks for the examples…and the giveaway!
I’ve actually never heard of PME tips before, but I’m def going to have to try them! You can def see how much better they write than the Wilton ones. Thanks!
That IS an unbelievable difference…. I’d love to win them!
Karen, I am stubborn like you, but last year also whilst gritting my teeth purchase a couple of PME tips from your store. Well sure enough guess what was in my next order ! PME tips. Number 1.5 is also my favourite and I only have one too 😦 Think your post was funny, me all over. Happy Decorating. Leanne
Wow, I need all the help i can get (-:
Wow! I bought my first PME tip from your store last week and haven’t gotten to try it yet. I’ve been missing your blog entries and was so glad to hear there was a new one today!
I LOVE these tips! A girl can never have to many!! I WANT them!! PLEASE!!
I had the same thought, “Why try PME when I have all my Wilton tips?” Wow! So it makes that big of a difference when writing? I must have some to try for myself! Thanks for the giveaway!
Well, I’m just going to have to try these.
Yep…I’m convinced I need some of these to try. I better get in line! I think they’ll improve my penmanship too, right?
Wow! Thanks for sharing. I might need to buy some, but winning some would be better!!!!
It happens to me! Exactly like Kris said: No wonder my writing always looked bad!
Oh, I would love to try these – sounds like they make a huge difference!
Wow. I never would have imagined that the tips could have made such a difference. I’d love to win a set!
I would love to win these for my friend:)
Ooooohhhh! Pick me! Pick me! 🙂
What a generous offer! Many thanks, Karen, for the side-by-side comparison–I had no idea. I will definitely be making the switch (slowly but surely…).
I’ve never used them but I would definitely love to try them!
Pick me, pick me! 🙂 I love PME tips and can always use more. They are essentials…..and so are Artec couplers. I’ve gotten to where I won’t even use Wilton couplers anymore. Boy, am I spoiled or what?
Thanks for the give-away, Karen. You already know that I think you are the BEST-est! 🙂
Maravillosos, creo que tengo el mismo problema por que mi escritura siempre es muy rara, y creia que era la consistencia del icing. Espero poderlos conseguir por aca.
Thanks for sharing this tip information. I’ve seen the PME but because they cost so much more, I’ve never tried them. What a difference!!! I’d love to win…………!!!
Wow! What a difference! It’s with no doubt a must have for cookie decorators. Thanks for sharing and for the fabulous giveaway 🙂
Wow!!! What a difference! I would love to have a set of these myself!!! My writing always looks horrid, but maybe if I try these new tips it will improve! Hope I get a chance to try them!
I think this is your best give-away yet!
I am gonna have to try these tips now. Awesome comparison. So even if I don’t win I’ll be purchasing them soon.
That is incredible!!! I keep putting these off due to cost, but now they’ll have to move up the want list several spots! 🙂
Wow! What a difference!!! I couldn’t belive my eyes! These photos truly show how much better PME tips are. I’ve been wanting to decorate cookies for the longest time. I even just pulled some frozen cookie dough out of the freezer that I didn’t finish using from 3 months ago to get started again. However, now I have to go out of town, so I had to put it back in the freezer. I would love to use these tips on my first set of decorated cookies when I get back!! I would send you photos of how they turned out if I won them. Keeping my fingers crossed and throwing some fairy/disco dust in the air for good luck!
I have always used Wilton tips and had heard of Ateco. Just not PME , I would love to try them, I am alway making cakes and cookies. My writing is pretty good , however if they are that much of an improvement my writing will be awesome
My sister told me about your blog, and I love looking at it. You always have such great, creative ideas! Thanks for sharing!
Oooooh I would love these !!!!!!!!!!!!!
I’ll have try them soon. I need help with my writing skills!
They really are the best tips ever! I love how they are longer and narrow. They are worth every penny. You can NEVER have enough of these! This giveaway would be like winning the jackpot!
What a fantastic giveaway!! Thanks so much for the opportunity of possibly winning these babies. I ordered a couple on my last order and haven’t had a chance to use them yet. Cookie doughs made. Now just baking and my favorite part – decorating them! Good Luck everyone!
fireuptheoven at gmail dot com.
Wow I’m adding PME tips to my wish list. I need all the help I can get with my writing.
Wow! What a difference between those tips! All I have are Wilton tips but I could be convinced to try this brand. Actually, it won’t take much along the line of arm twisting for me to try them. Thank you for sharing the obvious differences, and thank you for the giveaway!
I would love to try some new icing tips! Your store is full of wonderful things, so I’m sure these are great, too!
Karen, Thank you so much for sharing, I cannot wait to try the new PME tips… I have always had troule writing and maybeeee these will help…..Love your blog and your store….Thank you so much….
Elaine
I’d love to try these!
I just found your blog today and OMG! Your cookies are amazing. Your r so talented.
Oh my gosh! I would love to try the PME tips and see if they help me. I’d actually heard of them before but didn’t have any idea the difference. I can actually see now. I guess sometimes it’s worth the price.
I would love to try these out….I have never even heard of this brand! But something has got to help my awful penmanship in icing!!!
Who’d of thunk that a tip could make such a difference. I hope I win! I would love to try these!
I’m just starting out and have been using Wilton tips, would love to give these wonderful-looking creations a try! Anyone know the reason why the PME brand is so much better? I’m curious as to what could make such a huge difference.
Wow, Karen – AND KRIS! Thank you for showing us the difference that a tip can make! I have to do a cookie decorating demo for ladies at church in early May… and I still need to order a graduation mortar board cutter… and so many other things that I want. Plus, I’ve never even seen a size 0 Wilton tip and a reference book I bought recommends that size. Since I certainly am not very experienced, I could use all the help I can get with those tips!
I would love to try them, I have never tried to do detail work because I know it wouldn’t look good. I hope with these it just might look good.
WOW! I never would have thought there would have been that much difference. I really hope I win these!
love your blog and tutorials. if i don’t win, i will definitely buy them : )
What a difference!! I would love to try out PME tips!!
That. is. incredible. I am drowning in wilton tips, please throw me a PME lifesaver!
I would love to win these tips. The difference in the quality of the writing is amazing! Thank you for offering another give-a-way.
Karen,
You are amazing and I have missed your posts since you last posted! Thank you so much for the give away, I would love to give these a try!
Lindsay
You have me convinced that I need these tips. I have been ruining whole batches of cookies lately with poor writing.
I have not heard of this brand and I have a degree in baking. Can’t WAIT to give them a try!!!
I always love trying new decorating tools! I didn’t know a brand could make a difference is the tips.
Hello !
I would love to try using these tips.
Thank you : )
I’ve been dying to try these! Keeping my fingers crossed……
I would love to win a set of these tips!
I’d love to share these with a friend of mine. She loves to decorate cookies, and I think she’d be amazed at the difference these tips make! 🙂
I knew my handwriting wasn’t THAT bad! Now I understand it’s been the tips all along!
i just started learning how to decorate sugar cookies and these tips would make me look like a pro. Can’t wait to try some.
I really really really want to win! I have been too stubborn to pay the extra $ as well, but it seems SO worth it!!
OHH — Please let it be me. Please let it be me. Please let it be me.
Amazing. I am totally sold. PLEASE, bring on the PME tips! (:
Wow, I never thought it would made such a difference, had I known, I would have stocked up whilst I was in Birmingham last year. But maybe I’ll be lucky enough to win, one does say, never to give up hope, right?
Best regards Uschi
I want these tips!
It seems unbelievable. The difference is amazing. I also want to try. I need these PME tips!
Lola
Como me gusta, yo pensaba que la culpa era por que mi icing era muy liquido.En el proximo pedido lo pedire.
REALLY? WOW!
Amazing results, the proof is in the pudding. I am new to reading cookie decorating blogs, this is my first post! I have been deeply inspired to decorate cookies in my husband’s restaurant over the past few months. I have never even heard of these tips before, we only have access to limited Wilton supplies in these necks of the woods. I am very eager to try these tips.
Wow, that’s such a crazy difference! I need to stock up!
WOW! What a difference!! I need to try it.
Thank you very much for share your tips.
you’ve convenciened me….. I’m gonna give ’em a try. I too was going the cheap route. LOL. But now I’m throwing in the towel and buying the good stuff. Thanks for sharing.
Oooh – they look great! Would LOVE to try!
Pick me! Pick me! Pick me! 🙂
I would have never realized that tips can REALLY make that much of a difference. Thanks for posting. I hope I win, I would love to try them out for my Easter cookies.
First of all…welcome back! I was getting a little worried since you hadn’t blogged in a while…I know that “life” happens, right?!
Who wouldn’t love a chance to win some PME tips, they rock!
I have just recently heard about this tip, and was hesitating to take the plunge because of the cost. Seeing the difference, this is definitely on my list of things to buy!
I just recently tried the PME tips. I had a lot of writing to do on a cake a couple of weekend ago so I decided to try the PME tips. Wow what a difference. I had long words to fit into small areas and you could read every letter.
I hate my writing on cookies and try to avoid it. My husband just started back to work (thank God!)so I could not order anything this past year 😦 Getting this set would be awesome! It looks like the Wilton tips are great for filling…but for the finer details, I see I need these tips! Thank you Karen, as always, for keeping us in the loop!
Wow! How generous of you! I just bought the 1.5 from you last week, but haven’t tried this little gem (sweetsugarbelle recommended it). I would love to have a set! Thanks! 🙂
Amazing!!! Wonder what is making the difference in using PME and Wilton. Do PME’s use a different metal??? Would love to win this set as I am new to decorating and am having a hard time writing neatly with my Wilton tips. Thanks Karen!!
and I always thought it was me….. This is incredible.
OMG! I had no IDEA! I even went an purchased a Wilton 00 thinking the #2 was too thick for writing cause it always spread so much…I would love to own all the PME tips, I will definitely look into them!
NEVER would I have guessed that a tip would make so much difference.
Hmm…I never thought about different tip brands. I am now very curious…
I would love to try the PME tips.
would love to see the difference for myself! send ’em my way! :]
I would love to try these tips out. The comparison pictures are amazing.
so there is still hope for me when it comes to writing on cakes, cupcakes or cookies, lol. Hopefully you pick me =)
Now I can blame everything on my old decorating tips 😉
I would love to win this giveaway!
I have the 1.5 PME tip. Would love to have the set. I need to improve with my piping! Thanks.
I would LOVE to use those tips! I hope I’m lucky! 😀
Those look amazing!!!! Anything to help make writing or lines easier and prettier, I’m all for. What a great giveaway! Do these tips rust less too? That would be a MAJOR plus in my book!
Wow, that is a major difference. Thanks for sharing!
Ever since i found your website i immediately fell in love with “cookie decorating” and have bought everything from your store and everything i’ve loved..I’m learning very fast but I’m not too good at writing. Would love to win the PME set, they seem like a MUST HAVE to master my writing skills =)
Wow! What a difference. I’d love to try them!
Pick me! Pick me! :o)
I have never used anything but Wilton tips. Such a diffrence!
Wow! I’m convince!
I never would have thought there’d be such a difference. I’m definitely going to start replacing all my old tips.
I have only used the Wilton tips and have always thought my writing just needed more practice. Maybe I just need new tips!
Love your site, keep posting
Deborah up in Canada.
WHAT A DIFFERENCE!I WOULD LOVE TO WIN THEM………..
I have recently started cookie decorating and would love to give these a try. I love all of your ideas and hope to half as good as you are at decorating some day!
What a HUGE difference!! I use the Wilton brand and hate when I have to do any type of writing. Would love to try these!
Thanks for the info. I bought a 00 and 0 and haven’t used them. I’m going to have to get a few more and try them because my writing with the Wilton tips doesn’t look very good.
These tips look awesome and very beneficial for precise details on cookies!
I’d LOVE to try these tips – I can see myself getting hooked VERY quickly!
I can’t believe the difference… I NEVER thought there would be that much between brands. I would LOVE to try these tips 🙂
Karen:
I would love to win a set of these tips. I don’t write on my cookies because it never turns out good. With these tips I would for sure give it another try.
Seeing is believing! Weather I win one or not I’ll be getting some.
I would love these! Thanks Karen! 🙂
I would love to win the PME tips. You can see the difference in the samples you posted and sounds like it’s so worth purchasing.
I’m sold! – the PME’s seem like a surefire, dream-come-true solution for the dreaded writing, and win or lose, I’m going to have to get some!
Ok .. I am sold. I have always figured my Wilton tips were good enough … Now I don’t think so. Next Karen’s order will be for tips for sure.
I ordered 4 of the #2 from you and just love them. Also I ordered the Ateco(?) couplers and what a world of difference. You just have to cut a little off the bag and the ring screws right on. I always had trouble with Wilton but it was not until I read that others did too on your forum, that I switched. Now setting up disposable bags is not the chore it used to be. Thanks to you and the forum. Karen
I would love to try them out!
I love PME tips and can’t get them around here. I’d love a set to play with!
Sweet Sugar Belle also raves about these tips! I can’t wait to order some. Loved the pictorial comparison! Fingers crossed!
I would love the chance to try these out! I absolutely Hate my writing in frosting, I was thinking I was inept…I had no idea it could be my tips! Thanks for the info and the chance to win!
Wow I didn’t even know there was something better out there. I do calligraphy and try to write well on cookies but it just doesn’t turn out as great. With these I could make gorgeous cookies? LOVE your great decorating skills and hints. All my daughters are so impressed with your hints too.
I haven’t tried them yet, but I will since everyone raves about them.
Very interesting information. Love your blog and shop.
Bests regards.
I really want to try these-they seem like the answer to my icing prayers!
Czimrn@aol.com
I haven’t tried PME tips, although I would love to!
I can’t wait to try one of these tips!
I haven’t used them and I would like to do it!!
I have purchased PME 1.5 and 2 but I still struggle with my writing. I think I have to continue working on getting the perfect icing consistency. It seems that it is either too thin and runs together or it’s too thick and I get frosting “curling” as it comes out of the bag. Maybe it’s my pressure? Not sure, but I continue to practice. I want to be able to display pretty writing on my cookies!
It’s a very noticable difference! I have a few already that I orderd from you 🙂
Thanks for the great post that reinforces their awesomeness!
Dang it! I wish I saw this yesterday. I think I threw one of my PME tips away by mistake when cleaning up after making some cookies for a baby shower!!
OMG–I have 2 PME (0,00) that was ROAK to me
I NEED these tips-I swear everytime I do a big order that the money will go to new tips…..but I never do it.
I only have 1 PME tip… I would LOVE these!
I would love love love some of these tips…
Wow–that’s amazing. I am just a cookie decorating novice, who has been on a long break, but I’m getting ready to do a bunch of cookies for a fundraiser next month for my disabled brother…how I’d LOVE to own those for some lines that seem to be much more forgiving to a less than perfecting icing consistency!
Oh, writing is the thing I dread on cookies. Maybe a new tip would help??!! Thanks for the info.
Increíble diferencia!!! nunca hubiese pensado que fuera así, yo solo uso las wilton, mil gracias por el tip!!!
Great giveaway! My frosting tip collection is tiny, I’d love to add to it! 🙂
I would LOVE to win these tips. Have wanted to try them for a while now. Just one of the mannnny on my list of would love to haves! Thanks for the wonderful contest!
OMG !!! I need to try it !!! Could you to send to Mexico ???
I’m looking into buying these on the PME website. Do you know what the difference between the Carded and Uncarded tips are?
http://www.pmeartsandcrafts.com/en/search?orderby=position&orderway=desc&search_query=calligraphy&submit_search=Search
Hmm…. I don’t know for sure, but I would guess that it’s just the packaging. Carded usually means that it’s on a card for retail display purposes, and uncarded would just mean they are loose tips. I think the tip itself would be exactly the same.
I’ve been hearing such wonderful things about these tips but haven’t been able to bring myself to spring for the nearly $5 price tag. Sounds like I’m going to have to break down and give them a try.
Kathy, I don’t think you’ll be disappointed. I recommend just starting with a 1.5 and see how you like it. That’s what I started with, and I was hooked!
Seeing is believing and these pictures have made a believer out of me! I’ve spent years eating beautifully decorated cookies with writing so sloppy nobody else ever got to see them! Who knew Wilton tips were responsible for these 20 extra pounds I’ve gained from ‘eating my words’?
WOW!!! Those are some convincing before and after pics! I’m a beginner at decorating but, as an experienced quilter, I know that investing in tools that help reduce frustration makes a HUGE difference in the enjoyment of your craft. SOLD!
Thank you for the visual on the difference in the tips..really helps me to understand the differences, and what a difference. Will order a set asap!! thanks
Nancy
I learned of PME tips tonight and have begun searching online availability for purchase along with other items for cookie decorating.
How nice of you! Who knew there could be such a remarkable difference?
You know a lot of people don’t seriously know the benefits of writing a blog. Or simply how much effort that goes into creating a blog site. Truthfully running a blog is often a lot of fun in addition to a smart way to improve your brand or company.
Have never tried the pme tips but seeing the difference i will try out.
Amazing! Thanks so much for the review and the examples. A picture really is worth a thousand words! Wow! Thanks for the contest too. Pick me! Pick me!!!!
Karen, I am a true believer in PME tips too. I teach cookie decorating classes and I tell them my 1.5 is my secret weapon. The only problem I have is that sometimes it pops out of my Wilton coupler. Is there a better fitting coupler for the PME tips? Love your store!
Hi Carla! Sorry for the delay in responding. I actually prefer the Ateco coupler for the PME tips. It seems like it fits a little better than the Wilton ones. Hopefully that solves your problem!
Thank you for the great tip! Carla
I didn’t know about these! They look Amazing, I’d love to try them!!!
Wow ! So going to buy
I would love to have a set of pme writing tips!! I’m new to cake and cookie decorating, and it’s expensive to get everything I need!
I would LOVE to try your # 2 top. We had a tornafo tjis summer…so I’m starting over. I’m disabled, so money is tight. How much is the #2 tip, please?
What consistency in seconds works best like shown? Very helpful thank you.
I have never tried them, but really want to!
Wow, what a remarkable difference. I have never nore do I own any if these tips. Would be fantastic to win them. Thank you for sharing this post and thank you Kris!
